Anxiety

Fear and apprehension, self-doubt and indecisiveness, inability to focus and racing thoughts are all symptoms of anxiety. These feelings might come and go, they might linger for hours, they might be part of your daily life. In a safe space we can become objective about how anxiety is affecting us physically and emotionally. Through observation of ourselves we can recognize triggers, catch habitual thinking patterns and generate change. Anxiety is pervasive in today’s society but does not have to be an obstacle to living a present and gratifying life.

Depression

Depression can be debilitating. It adversely affects our health, our sleeping patterns, our appetite, our mood, etc. We lose interest in activities, we stunt the growth of our relationships, we lose the capacity to enjoy our daily lives and, at its worst, we contemplate suicide. The feelings of loss and sadness can be so overwhelming that we lose sight of how to help ourselves. We feel exposed and vulnerable. With careful guidance we can turn down the volume of the negative thoughts that keep us in a continual cycle of misery. There is no doubt that circumstances in our lives can cause us to be sad, but we do not have to live a life without hope.
